If you’re passionate about writing, we must talk. It’s a life-skill. Never mind ChatGPT, Bard, other Large Learning Models (LLMs) and the hoopla around it all!

Who am I? A co-founder at Founding Fuel, a media and learning platform and co-author of The Aadhaar Effect: Why The World’s Largest Identity Project Matters. I’m a columnist as well for Hindustan Times, am published by other leading newspapers including peer reviewed journals such as Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Shaastra which is the brainchild of IIT (Madras).

Been around in the business for close to three-decades, and now I like to stay focused at the intersection of business, technology and public policy.

These are themes I speak on basis experience and moderate with thought leaders at public forums. I teach writing and work with people as diverse as senior leaders in the C-Suite at large organizations to undergrads at St. Xaviers College, Mumbai and post-grad students at Xaviers Institute of Communication.

In my last assignment, I wore two hats: That of Managing Editor at the Indian editions of Forbes and Editor at ForbesLife. Before that, I was National Technology Editor and National Business Editor at the Times of India. My first big gig was in my early twenties when German media house Vogel Burda marked its India-debut with CHIP, a wildly popular technology magazine. They appointed me Editor and asked to set up their India ops. All thanks to that, I got to work and interact with all of Vogel Burda's many newsrooms across Europe and Asia. That was fun and it earned me a few awards such as the Madhu Valluri Award for Excellence in Journalism and the Polestar Award for Excellence in Business Journalism.

I have a Masters in Economics from Mumbai Universtity and an MBA in Finance from MET, Mumbai. Did all the post-grad stuff after graduating from BSc from St Xaviers College, Mumbai, getting into business journalism, and figuring out there’s very little I know about business. On a personal note, I read voraciously, across the board, and genres. I like time spent outdoors, either walking, cycling, or attempting to run (ignore my pot-belly). I so wish I get the bandwidth to watch some movies as well.
